Sometimes good things come in bunches.....and that is the case with new spring collections that have come in early and complete and all at the same time!!! So here goes.....

Those of you who read mostly the pictures might want to pay attention to the rest of this letter because my magical chicken recipe will appear somewhere.....

We are back in business, and so are you, with Blanque's fabulous matte crepe!!! The new collection is not featured in either the drawings or the photographs because we all know it so well.....The new color is violet, and the always color is black. You might want to stock up on your favorite pieces now because we are probably not going to see any more of this fabric until July or August!!! The new slimmer jackets and the wide crop tops are welcome additions for those of us who would like to have something NEW!!!!! And the good old double zip pants and the roca jacket are still the great old friends we always want to have around.....

Our second Blanque collection is the cotton novelty of the spring. It introduces the first tee shirt we have ever had from Blanque.....it is soft and luxurious and drapes in crooked and wonderful ways.....it comes in black and white and red.....AND it has a NECK!!!!! It looks great under the black embroidered cotton eyelet shirt and tops!!!!! There are a couple of heavier weight cotton jackets in a pretty shade of light red....the roca jacket that you love so much also doubles as a big shirt, and the manteau with its convertible cowl neck is a nice slim silhouette. The pants in this collection are our basic black cotton crush and team well with any one of the novelty fabric tops and jackets.

When Cynthia Ashby is good, she is very, very, VERY good. We always love her linens, and these are no exception. Well, actually they are. The shapes and the detail work make each separate piece a stand alone.....but they, of course, do look great together! The colors are "oxidized" (mustard) and "downpour" (sort of a squid ink purple/black). I always know when something is really great when our wonderful web director walks out the door wearing what she has just photographed!!! I must say she looked pretty great in the big tunic over the novelty pants.....Cynthia has also added a softer than soft tee shirt to her collection. It has her usual asymmetric cut and is very flattering with a slight bit of lycra in the rayon blend.

We are also having fun combining Cynthia Ashby and Krista Larson for spring. The colors work well together as well as the more casual Krista fabrics and styles and the Cynthia accessories. When you come in or call us, we will be happy to play with you to make some exciting new outfits!!!!!

OK...here is the chicken recipe.....

PARMESAN CHICKEN

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (medium sized ones....the gigantic ones don't work as well!)

1/3 cup mayonnaise

1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Italian Herb seasoned breadcrumbs

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Lightly oil bottom of baking pan - place chicken breasts into pan with some space in between.

Combine mayonnaise and cheese and spread over each chicken piece.

Sprinkle liberally with breadcrumbs.

Bake 25-minutes.

This is majorly, MAJORLY yummy!!!!! I had to make it four times in one week when we were having a lot of different company.....It is also great cold sliced into a sandwich.....

Ok, NOW we can get back to the important stuff.....

Siga and I had a great time in New York last week and are going back next week to look at the Fall clothing collections as well as all of the really spectacular crafts. We found a lot of fun for everybody and are looking forward to some of the new things coming fairly soon.....

Because Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays (because I dress up every day!) we are featuring some romantic goodies from the gallery:

My favorite Brian Andreas sculpture....."NO WORDS". This is available either as a limited edition wood sculpture or as a matted and ready-to-frame print.

Or Casablanca …..the ultimate romance. Rick's Café by Horatio Tubio lights up and plays “As Time Goes By”…….

Or Cynthia Hipkiss's romantic ride in a bright red bumper car. On-a-Whim Ceramics challenges you to find the perfect filler for this charming heart bowl. (Cocoa Room chocolate covered almonds come to mind.....)

For the guys.....Mark Orr's wood sculpture of a raven perched atop a fabulous textured heart.....holding a key to ??? For us girls.....how romantic would it be to blow bubbles with a sterling silver heart-shaped bubble wand?

For everybody.....we have our ever popular (with everybody except my very own brother!) cards from Monkey Moments.

OK...OK...things do not have to be useful to be fabulous!!!!!

Doriena and Sandy and I are all looking forward to seeing or hearing from you!

Cheers!
