I know that I am in trouble when my own kid sister starts to hassle me about "So, where's the February newsletter?!?!?!" Well, trust me, I have not been sitting on my laurels (or anything else) the last several weeks.....I have been dying to get this out. .....if only my January merchandise would finally come???.....but, thankfully, my February merchandise showed up three weeks early, soooooo...here goes.....................

I love clothes for all seasons, but spring and summer ones are always the ones I personally love the most.....and I do love the new Staley Gretzinger spring collection. For some reason, it doesn't have a name, but the theme is all about the natural elements of the beach. I love the softness of the cotton of the Pebble Crop Top and the Pebble Skirt. I love the ease and comfort of the slinky Wading Tunic and Skipping Stones Skirt. And what about the drama of the Fishnet Breezy Appliquéd Duster over the slinky Skipping Stones Crop Top and the Shell Collector Pant?! These sophisticated separates make a smart entrance wherever you take them.....

I don't have to reiterate how much I love and live in Krista Larson because you see me do it almost every day. This first part of the collection comes in tones of sky and bark, which mix in really beautiful ways combining all of the textures and patterns of her spring fabrics. One of the really important things to remember about Krista's pieces is that each one is great worn on its own with something else.....like even a pair of blue jeans.....not only layered up as we most often show them. With all of the available choices, you can make a look uniquely your own. We are featuring one of our most popular styles, the Picket Fence Shirt, in a variety of silk and cotton fabrics.....AND it is great worn as a jacket too!!! We also love the elegance of our sequined silk taffeta Baroque Jacket and My Favorite Skirt.....Wouldn't you love to wear that to a spring wedding???

Who doesn't love Blanque crepe? OK....maybe somebody who has never seen it??? Our new citrus is a color we have in something from someone almost all of the time because we love it!!! We love it so much that when we recently had the store painted, we made two walls that color!!! We have it here as an all citrus outfit, but the tops are obviously also going to look great with black pants, and we have a selection of Deborah Cross scarves that are nice accent pieces.....

We have lots of great new things from Ray Harris!!! Can I tell you about the fabulous orange dress first??? Well, Siga bought it for me, and I kept showing it to people, and people all kept asking if they could try it on, and people love it, so here it is!!! I have ordered another one for myself, as well as an olive one....so at least three of us can be princesses at the ball!!! Not that I don't love the other stuff too...........Ray's crinkled duster over that fabulous horizontally crinkled shirt and black pants.....The olive three circle skirt with the cardi jacket and the acid green tank......And there are lots of other things too...like his comfy but flattering bi-stretch pants that now have jackets to go with them....and his bi-stretch jumper dress. AND there is more to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, once in a while, Siga and I take a little walk on the wild side! That is where we found this amazing jacket and skirt....and the one sort of normal-looking skirt. These are designs from Jutta Nordheim of Germany .....the most conservative designs at that! My friend Jacque has tried on the jacket, and I have tried on THE skirt (three times), and they fit and look pretty spectacular. Not for the faint of heart, but if you have an adventurous spirit.............

Susan Riedweg's bags are never short of spectacular.....and this season is no exception. We have bags in many more sizes in some beautiful new leathers. We decided to branch out a little here too, so we brought in her punched suede and linen jackets and vests.....and a few fabulous belts!

After two embarrassing months with a pathetic assortment of socks, our spring Sox Trot styles have finally arrived!!!

We love recycling.....as those of you know who ever have us ship you anything!!!! Well, Marsha Theis is finally back from her vacation away from the snow, and she is busily making and sending us her one-of-a-kind vests that are pieced out of recycled sweaters. Each piece is a whimsical piece of art that is fun to wear! We have also gotten a fresh (what do you call a bunch of mice?) bunch of mice: cat toys that are made out of felted old sweaters....featuring very long woolen tails, organic catnip, and a little jobbie that makes noise. Cats adore these!!!!!

.....and something really beautiful for last.....new botanicals and fanciful teapots from Kliszewski Glass.....They speak for themselves...........

Have really missed writing this, and seeing you........so don't be strangers!!!

love to everybody.....
