I am trying very hard to bridle my unbridled enthusiasm for the gorgeous sunny days that we have been enjoying lately.....mostly because I do realize that not all of us live in California !!! I guess what it really means is that we are beginning to realize the hope of a brilliant spring and summer ahead.....
Spring and summer are my personal favorite seasons of the year because they are all about the linens and cottons.....the soft sheer silks.....the charming prints.....and the edible colors that I so dearly love! Krista Larson is about all of these. Her newest colors—lilac and ivory—have just arrived to join the earlier earthy tones of khaki and gold. We have put together some very casual, and also some very dressy, outfits in these colors to give each of you an idea of how to put it together to suit YOU! We also love to mix the colors with one another, and with colors from seasons past. The more Krista you collect over the years, the more your possibilities of spectacular outfits increase.....until you don't even know when you will be able to wear them all!!!!! We have a wonderful stock, offering several color choices and a lot of new styles........You may not know this until I tell you: in any one season, there are over 8,000 different possible items in this collection with the variety of fabrics and colors that Krista offers!!!!!
On the opposite side of the fairy princess clothes, which all of us who wear them adore.........
We have the black and the earthy and the fitted and the hip Rock Al tees. Designed by a very talented young artist from Southern California , we love these tee shirts for both their styling and their novel details. All made of 100% cotton, these tees are now available from sizes small through extra-large (but all remaining on the fitted side). We are trying out one style with a short sleeve for those of you who live in HOT weather areas and would like a cooler style. But, let's face it, isn't sleeve length REALLY about arms?!?
We have a great selection of linens from Blanque and ItemZ and Cynthia Ashby in a range of color schemes to work into your spring and summer wardrobes, and some terrific cottons from Blanque. About the only thing we are missing is black linen pants, which, for some reason, I neglected to buy....? Most of you probably already have those.....
And here come the accessories to go with it all..........
I am absolutely in love with the high-top tennies from Annette Gortz! Unfortunately, they made a limited quantity, so we only got part of our order, but there are enough for four of you!!!!! We also still have a few pairs of the beautiful brown flats from our earlier newsletter.....
Santa Fe artist Ana Livingston created the wonderfully colorful and chunky necklaces that you see featured below with our Blanque citrus cotton. Her elements lend themselves to whimsy.....modern and old tribal glass, earthy dead coral, carved bone, frosted acrylic, carnelian, and fancy blown glass. We also have a nice selection of her earrings.
Karen Gilbert has moved to the California wine country where she continues to create jewelry unlike any that can we even imagine. Her last two spectacular silver and bead and glass pins did not even get to spend one whole day in our jewelry case!!! She did send us a lot of earrings though, and our selection of her very special necklaces is, well...VERY SPECIAL!!!
We have new watches from Stroke of Art....a new red telephone cord, a cut-up credit card, a vintage red domino, a ruler, and one very special watch that she actually does not make anymore except by special request.....
We have new passport bags from Nancy Lucia. Screened and printed in New York on fine Italian leather, our current themes include Tango dancers, piles of newspapers, the Eiffel Tower , and Big Ben. These are both handsome and handy for travel.....and make a nice fashion statement at home.
Lots more accessories are on the way.....
Doriena and I have been busy this week sending out care packages to some of you who can't just pop in. We are always happy to work with you on that. Please just remember that the turn-around time for returns is 24 hours!!!!!
And speaking of packages.....I used to be embarrassed about what you might think when you buy a bunch of really nice clothes and accessories from us that arrive in an unsightly, beat-up box! Well, we recycle everything until it is no longer usable!!!!! Some of you are environmentally conscious enough that you actually return my gift boxes and tissue....or drop off your peanuts and bubble wrap and used boxes when you visit because you know they will be put to good use. So there.....
Hope things are good with you and those you love, and everybody else.....
Looking forward to you.....
Hugs!!!!
