Wow!!! How much fun is it to send out a newsletter on April Fools' Day!?!?!?
Actually, this marks the one-year anniversary of my working with Siga in the store everyday.....and yes, everything is still great, or even better, than when we started!!! And Doriena and Sandy are great too... doing different stuff. We do get together on birthdays for our ceremonial toe-nail paintings!
It is very exciting to report that all of our designers shipped their things on time for us to get this newsletter to you at the beginning of the month.....YEAH!!!!!
Our new Cynthia Ashby collection has wonderful dimensions.....We love the way she has used layers and textures to make her dress and skirt stand-outs (really...STAND OUTS). We love the softness of the soft fabrics and the body of the stiff ones. And, we always love her inky colors. These pieces can go feminine and dressy or casual yet chic.....sexy strappy sandals or novelty tennies. ANYTHING goes with this group!!!
Casual is always a little difficult for us because Siga and I both adore drama.....but then we come back to earth and realize that there is real life too..... One of our new collections, Steel Pony, fills the void of casual and fun in fabrics that are very lightweight for the warm days (and hot ones!!!) ahead. This group of sportswear separates is lovingly sewn and accessorized and painted in Philadelphia by some very, very nice people who really love their product. Our first collection from them comes in handkerchief linen and linen gauze in earthy tones of natural white and terra cotta with anchor pieces in indigo. We have layered a couple of simple outfits for you so that you can see just how easy and cute they are.....the pants can be left straight or tied up at the bottom!!!
We have our spring and summer tee shirt collections for EVERYBODY.....Sledge for the girls and Salvage for the guys.....I want to see some of the GUYS get with it already!!! Everything is all cotton (really great, nice cotton) and made in Los Angeles.
Those of you who are about to travel will be happy to know that we have a fabulous selection of MycraPac's Donatella rain jackets.....that's the one with the pleated collar that can become a hood. They are all reversible and pack into their own bags and are now available in.....are you ready????? Bronze, Red, Green, Purple, and Gray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These jackets are not just for the rain.....they can go anywhere anytime.....
We seem to be getting a lot of early deliveries from the fall orders that we placed in New York in February, but, thank goodness, most of the pieces that we are getting are wear-now.
We have just gotten in new dresses and our fabulous "shawl with sleeves" from Ray Harris. I know how good these clothes are when we sell them to visitors from London who live in the neighborhood of his studio!!!
Can you tell we fell just a little bit in love with Susan Riedweg's "mineral" leather??? We also have belts, and the first couple of back-packs that we have decided to try.......
We have new sock patterns from Sox Trot.....lots of black and white designs for spring as well as colors.
We have new watches from Stroke of Art. I love to see all of the great old things she collects.....like pop bottle tops from brands of soda that I have never seen!!!
You seem to love our new Judy Tampa collection...SO...we have a bunch more on order of the styles you love in new colors!
