How often I wonder just how many of you actually read the text of the newsletter when I see how fast you call after its release!!!(?) It makes me feel like we are on some sort of fast-paced game show or something. Now, while it is true that some things disappear really quickly, it is also true that some very good things are in the text alone because they simply do not photograph well.....Hmmmmmmmm..........

Gotcha?

Okay, I'll make it easy for you beginners by doing this all backwards (and you owe the faithful readers...BIG TIME!)

We have some really wonderful new accessories, yet again.....

Talya Baharal has completed her new collection for us with the shipment of her new bronze and sterling pieces. Many of you have asked for years why there have been no copper earrings. Well, bronze looks pretty rich and wonderful! We have Talya's incomparable styling in both pierced and clip earrings that have a lustrous peachy copper finish. We also have gotten a spectacular new neckpiece and pin!

Gabrielle Gould, long known for her whimsical sterling and gold bird pins with the little colored feathers and the little beady eyes, has ventured into new and adventurous territory with a small collection of really different earrings featuring feathers and semi-precious stones and hand-dyed silk threads. They are still sitting in a box behind my desk because I don't quite know what to do with them....I guess a nice display might be a little more elegant than pulling out the little plastic bags whenever I think someone might like them?!?

Our “Creature” case from Cynthia Chuang is full once again of cute and pretty, and just creepy, insects and birds and reptiles and fish in her signature hand-painted ceramic pins. Many of our clients collect these.....and they do make a great gift for Mothers' Day just in case.......

We continue to get new work from Ana Livingston, both in technicolor and black and white.....great-looking chokers and necklaces, and one very colorful bracelet!

Because we seldom have a chance to show them to you, take notice of a wonderful new Chickenscratch pin called “I heard it down the grapevine” featured on our white Krista Larson picket fence shirt!

And now I can get to our FINALLY arrived Krista Larson summer collection!!!!!

There is just no getting enough of these wonderful clothes, and I have sort of tried to do something to show how easily they can be worn. You usually see them all layered and “Kristafied” the way I like to wear them, BUT there are so many other ways to wear them if you just separate out the pieces any way that makes you comfortable. Like, isn't the white linen Rockafeller Slip with the simple double-layer tee and the pearl and crystal necklace easy to wear?...or the white cotton broadcloth picket fence shirt thrown on with a pair of Blanque crinkled cotton pants??? We have lots of wonderful cottons, both in solid broadcloth and eyelet in the collection colors and white. The cool camisoles and shirts and slips seem like summer musts to me.....

As I was getting ready to leave today, I just barely unpacked some new crushed silk and swirl patterned silk shirts from ItemZ in the long-back and asymmetric styles. You know these styles from our linen collection, and wouldn't they be a great last-minute addition to throw in your suitcase for that summer get-away???

On to the environment.....

“Out of my Gourds”...Marilyn Host does just that when she creates her whimsical birds (again with the beady eyes!).....this time in earthy reds and black.

We seem to have a thing for birds this year....I just love the new bird jar—the gold with the black and white dots.....and how about the great batter bowl with the beak for pouring? (Okay, you don't really have to bake anything...just have it hanging around to look good!) Or the salt and pepper shakers for your collection…..or your mother's (another Mothers' Day hint!!). These are new pieces from Alison Palmer.....and there are LOTS more!!!!!

More birds are on the way.....you will see them in the May and two-thirds newsletter if the new Giselle Shepatin velvets arrive then too!!!

If you are a mom or grandmother, have a Happy Mothers' Day!!! If you aren't, have a happy one anyway.....

Siga and I are looking forward to seeing you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh! we have gotten in lots of Krista spring flowers too.....fluffy organza and taffeta dandelion pins in all colors!!!

Okay, this is really so long now............

Hugs to you,

kati
