I don't know where the time is flying these days!!!??? We are already into the second week of September and Siga and I are about to take off to go to New York to buy next spring's goodies!!!

.....but before that, we have the great goodies of this week.......

We actually have so many new things this week that I hardly know where to start.....so much so that I am a day late because I was confused and indecisive yesterday too!!!!!!!

We have yet another fabulous new collection of shirts from ItemZ. This time we have gotten some rich, deep colors in crinkled taffeta.....olive, copper, blue and red.....beautiful, packable, washable, dryable......how much better can we get? One size fits most.

Our next fabulous shirt (most of this newsletter is about tops and accessories....and one great skirt!) is from Lynn Mizono. We have had this shirt in many different fabrics the last couple of years, and those of us who have them tend to live in them.....and those of us who have an incurable spot on ours are needing to have a new one (me included!). Lynn is going on hiatus for an indefinite period of time, so, rather than taking my chances of never seeing these again, we have just gotten in the Manuscript Blouse in white Italian Snowflake Polyester. I wear this shirt a lot because I just throw it in the washer and then shake and hang it, and it is ready to go again.....super low maintenance and beautiful too!!!!!!

Our Cynthia Ashby shirt is a popular re-run too. The tie shirt is one of Cynthia's spring pieces that we loved enough to ask her to re-color it for us for the fall. The fabric is her usual wonderful linen in yard dye shades of pumpkin, sepia, or eggplant accented with color and black yard dye stripes and solid black. The pins that dot the necktie are not accessories.....they come with the shirt! The shirttail bottom is dramatically asymmetrical and makes it a great topper to any pair of black pants or jeans.

Anya is constantly shopping for interesting novelty fabrics to create new pattern combinations for her pieced fabric tees. We love her newest style with the asymmetric neckline!

Sarah Pacini is perfect for those of you who have trouble finding the fitted and the small. This Italian designer makes one size knits for about a size 10 and smaller, and her styles are quite kicky. The woven pieces (the skirt and the jacket....and there is a long coat, too!) are made of a resin coated black linen and come in regular sizes. These pieces are edgy yet feminine....like you could ride side-saddle on the back of a Harley with somebody like the Marlboro man!

We have finally gotten in more velvet pieces and more sweaters from Giselle Shepatin.

.....and then there are the accessories.......

The mesh bags from Bo's Art Studio are constantly changing....new patterns and new shapes come with each season. Each bag can be used as a clutch or as a shoulder bag with the silver strap that is included with each bag.

Sarah Cavender allows us to be adventurous.......she gave us splashes of color on our soft mesh bangles. These are fun to wear as one piece or as an armful.....and they make great gifts. We have a rainbow of colors as well as gold and silver and copper......

We love the look of Stickball jewelry with a lot of our casual shirts and tees. These are made by a local artist who is also a quilter. Her fabric-covered wire squiggly pins and whimsical "cherry" necklaces are the perfect accent to our ItemZ shirts and Anya tees and..........

Whimsical is also the best description for our Stroke of Art watches. We have gotten in our "usual" styles and have added the Bingo watch, the Puzzle watch (made with wooden puzzle pieces from France ), the Bottle Cap watch, and the Colored Wire watch (the one you never wear to an airport!). I just looked in the display case and realized that I forgot the Mah Jongg watch and the Artist Paintbrush watches.....we have those too........

On the "girlie" side, we have gotten in a new collection of necklaces and earrings from artist Lisa MacKenzie. Her pearl and gemstone necklaces and earrings have the added dimension of fiber with which she wraps her pearls and stones, and the addition of charms and elements from nature. Each piece has a theme.....and how could I ever pass up a piece called "women who drank whisky"??????

Susan Goodwin's rock crystal quartz, pearl and sterling silver pieces ran out of here so fast that I could hardly remember what we had had. Luckily, she talked me through another order, which has just arrived. She has many different lengths of necklaces, and it is wonderfully decadent to wear several.........

.....and I can hardly wait to see what is going to come through the door today.......

..........here comes the UPS man now.........gotta run!!!!!!!!!!
