Happy Independence Day to you all!!!!!
I guess that this means that we are in the heat of summer!? AND.....a few of you have been calling to see if we have any summer things left. Well.....since you all know that I think "SALE" is just another four-letter word, WE DO!!!!! We have lots of nice, fresh, cool, and wonderful stuff to see you through the blistering days ahead.....and to take you on that summer vacation to places hot and humid.......
We have cool crinkled cotton blends from Blanque in shades of navy and citrus as well as black and white. We have cool, bright, light-weight linen shirts from ItemZ. We have breezy white cottons from Annette Gortz. There are lots of cute new white cottons from Krista Larson. And, Mad Lab by Staley Gretzinger keeps the fun in summer with an easy group of rayon separates with their signature whimsical trims.
Since it is summer, we are beginning our transition into fall, and we are able to do it with great fall color stories that feature wear-now light-weight fabrics!!!!! Pretty exciting.....
Blanque brings us the lightest-weight collection that I can ever remember seeing! This collection is based on a poly/lycra fabric called Techno that comes in black or Techno Pin that is black with a subtle gray stripe. The Techno fabrics are the base of our jackets and pants (also including the narrow slit pant and the detail pant, which are not shown). The accent piece tops are made of crisp white "crock" and flame crushed cotton blend. AND.....you have to love the new tee shirt fabric -- a crushed viscose/poly that is light as air and softer than soft. We have the tee in both long and short lengths in fossil (pearly gray) or coal. Many of these new pieces can be worn with our other summer things..........
We have brought back one of our favorite lines from years past.....we have always loved Catherine Bacon's "Butterfly" tops! They are dramatic silk pieces that can be worn anywhere with just about anything. Her silk patterns are her exclusive designs, and the crushed cinnabar taffeta with the inset sequin piece is a special one she made just for us. One size really does fit everybody!!!
Hot or chilly, Ray Harris is the perfect pack along wherever you are going this summer..... Ray's things roll into a ball or tie in a knot and have you look smashing whenever the occasion arises! We are constantly getting new styles.....we now have a few of our best-seller swing jackets in colors, as well as a new smaller jacket, a new dress, and some new v-neck and cowl neck tops. We have a lot of color availability and can order you what you would like to have in the color of your choice.....we just need six weeks lead time so that Ray and I can remain friends!
We are going to be getting our Krista Larson Fall Collection the later part of this month, but, in the meantime, we are still getting in summer pieces that have been outstanding and in great demand. (They finally cut off summer orders last Friday!) The pieces that we are featuring as summer must-haves (for those of you who must have them!) are the white eyelet Picket Fence Shirt, the white eyelet Picket Fence Slip, and the white cotton broadcloth Rockafeller slip. They are cool and crisp and PRETTY!!!!!
Remember to sign up if you would like the weekly Krista news.....
New accessories.....but of course!!!!!!!!!!!!
Susan Riedweg always gives us purses to love, and this time there are so many that I had my WWD photograph them all.....and then SHE got to decide which half of them to put in this newsletter. Actually, I don't even know which ones they are yet.....it will be a surprise. Surprise??? We also have some new belts from Susan that are quite spectacular for those of you who like that great looking, low-slung, wide and wow look.
Kathy Frey is an artist that Siga and I met back East this winter. She makes sculptural sterling silver wire jewelry that we both instantly fell in love with. She wraps silver in intricate yet dramatic ways, and I especially love her wired caged pearls. We have bracelets (the biggest WOW!), necklaces and earring in both shiny and oxidized silver.
Gabrielle Gould continues to expand her world of whimsical shore birds.... with their beady eyes and colored feathers and secret treasures. She is now also taking a walk on the wilder side and expressing her flair for shape and texture and color with a collection of silver earrings accented with stones and colored silk threads. These are so perfect for a little bit of a gypsy touch to go with our summer wear.
YEAH!!!!! New Sox Trot socks.....need I say more?
Our feature of the month from the "gallery" is the metal sculpture of Primitive Twig. We had such a hard time deciding which ones to get that Siga and I just played "You pick one and then I'll pick one and then you....." Here we are showing "Princess" and "Riley".......and we can't even remember who picked which one!!!!
Hope your summer will bring you our way.....we always look forward to seeing or hearing from you!!!!!
Until the next one......
love to you all,
kati (and siga too!)
